I’m pretty picky about the nonfiction books I read, especially devotionals and bible studies. When I came across Clear Mind, Peaceful Heart, I knew I needed to read it. I have had so much on my mind lately, and while I won’t bore you with the details, I will say that I needed reminders of how to clear my mind.

AmazonGod not only has the whole world in His hands; He's holding the details of your life in His faithful hands as well.
What lies heaviest on your heart as you lay your head on your pillow? Are paralyzing fear and anxiety stealing tomorrow's peace? Listen to this invitation from Jesus: "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28 NIV). Experiencing this kind of rest won't come from escapism, more vacation days, or stuffing our feelings. Jesus Himself provides rest to our weary souls. While He may not always fix everything right away, we can fix our thoughts on His Word. In doing this, we can sleep at night with ease knowing that God has it all under control.
Through the pages of Clear Mind, Peaceful Heart, written by New York Times bestselling author Lysa TerKeurst and her friends at Proverbs 31 Ministries, you will be equipped to:

My Perspective
I really enjoyed reading the devotions in this book. All of them are written in a way that the reader can relate to the author. They provide good scriptural reminders that we will go through things in life, but we can rest in knowing that God is there, working, helping, even when we don’t feel it. This isn’t an in depth study, but it is comforting and informative all the same.
I think these devotions would be perfect to read right before bed. Especially the way the prayers are written. I personally read them in the morning, but I think I’ll go through them again at night. It’s just the reminder you need before you lay your head down at night. The reminder to not lay there and worry, but to give all your cares to the Lord and let Him work in them.
I highly recommend this devotional to those who are stressed, hurting, or just simply need a good reminder to cast their cares to the One who can take care of them all.
