Top Ten Tuesday – Books You May Have Missed

Posted by abakersp in Top Ten Tuesday / 1 Comment

Hello my reader friends. Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday, hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. Today’s topic is books with your favorite trope or theme. I have to be honest with you. I’m drawing a blank 😂. It’s probably because my favorites changes with the wind. This week I might like marriage of convenience stories, and next week I could like second chance romance. That’s the perks/drawbacks of being a mood reader. So since I can’t decide, and I missed last week’s post, I’m just going with that one lol.

Here are ten books that I enjoyed reading, but haven’t reviewed on my blog. Many reasons for that – I read for pleasure (meaning I chose not to review it at all **gasp**), I read it while judging for a contest, I ran out of time (I’ve had some health issues the past year and unfortunately the blog suffered because of it), or ______. You fill in the blank!

Technically, I just finished this book a couple of days ago. But it was so good! Raybon brings an interesting perspective to the era, the setting, and the plot. I thoroughly enjoyed this read.

Jen Turano is the queen of historical laughter. Honestly! I cannot read her books without laughing and having a good time. I was so anxious for Eunice’s story, and Turano delivered a story better then I ever imagined it could be!

Cowboy fans, get ready for a sweet and swoony romance.I’m really not sure why I don’t read Mandi’s books more often. They are clean, enjoyable, have some swoony characters, and a delight to read!

SMW is auto buy for me, if I’m not reviewing her books. She’s such an amazing writer, and this new series is one I have been looking forward to for a while now. I’ll tell you a little secret – it did NOT disappoint!

Natalie Walters is another author is just adore. This new series is fantastic, and I can’t wait to read book two pretty soon!

This might be my favorite Pepper story ever (with the exception of Authentically Izzy, but that hasn’t released yet). It is SOOOOOO good! And Christmas is my favorite, so that’s a bonus!

Morgan Busse is such a wonderful author. Her stories are creative and fun, and this new series is amazing! That ending though…..I’m chomping at the bit to get book two.

This is probably my favorite read from last year. It’s raw, gritty, inspiring, and so much more. It’s not a light read, but it’s a beautifully written story. I loved it.

While these are not Christian Fiction novels, they were fantastic. For a while I got on a huge YA kick last year (and honestly, I need to get back to reading this genre), and I’m so glad I read these!

Here’s another fantastic YA series. Not Christian Fiction, and it’s not 100% clean (you’ll have to email me or message me for more info), but have to be honest here – I really enjoyed reading it. I don’t typically promote non-Christian books here unless they are clean, but this is probably the exception. Again, everyone has their own thoughts on what they feel comfortable reading, and you can contact me for more info. I’m just telling you the series was soooo good. I read it last summer all in order, putting all my other reading commitments aside.

Have you read any of these books? Which ones did you enjoy?

The Mistletoe Countess, and Under the Magnolia are the only two of these I have read, both excellent! I have two of the others in my TBR stack.
