My Perspective

Heads up Hallmark, you’ve got another book to make into a sweet summer movie! It’s got everything you need, great setting, friendly characters, a little back and forth between our hero and heroine, and so much more. The romance is on point – I could feel the tension from the beginning, but it wasn’t overwhelming and didn’t move too fast. And Balsam Falls? Well I just want to visit there. Maybe live there. It’s so quaint, family oriented, and charming. See, just like a Hallmark movie.

Wynn is such a great character. He has a hint of sarcasm and playfulness, which is probably some of my favorite attributes in a leading man. But what gets this reader in the ole’ heart strings is his faithfulness and loyalty to his family. Yes, he’s a really good guy – helps others out, builds houses for the needy for crying out loud, but he’s just this family guy. The way Wynn and Noelle are thrown together in this building project is perfect. Their characters really grow and learn from each other, as it should be in a relationship. I thought Margot did a fantastic job of writing their story.

Hallmark fans will really enjoy Margot’s latest release. The book is a little lengthy for a romance novel in my opinion, but that just means you get to hang out in Balsam Falls a little bit longer! I really hope we get to revisit these characters soon. I want to see what’s going on in their lives!!
