My Perspective

This was a sweet and heartwarming read. First of all, I loved Ivy’s character. It’s not often you see a character with Asperger’s syndrome in stories, and especially has a bigger secondary character. To me, she provided hope and encouragement to those who may have the same, or to family members of someone with Asperger’s. She was working, a great relationship with her sister (even though I feel like Juliette kind of smothered her), and had wonderful talent. I know this wasn’t the main part of the story, but it’s the part that touched me the most.

But let’s switch gears and talk about Ty (swoon) and Juliette. Their characters had good chemistry, were down to earth, and just a delight to read about. I will say at times Juliette’s character bothered me. I feel like she made a huge deal about what happened when she was a kid. I understand that stopping that stroller may not have been “on purpose”, and that it bothered her how much people made a big deal about it, but I don’t know. I just didn’t feel like it was worth her time I guess. Or maybe it was the way she dwelled on it? I don’t know. It’s just me lol. And really, I could see people in the real world reacting the same way, so it’s not anything to do with the author. It’s just my own quirk lol.

I thought it was a quick and easy read. One that I would read again when I just want some light reading material to make me smile.

I received a complimentary copy of this novel. I was not required to write a favorable review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The romance sounds sweet, and I am definitely interested in Ivy, the character who has Asperger’s syndrome.
