Unsung Hero Movie Review

Guys I’ve been a fan of For King and Country for awhile. I saw them in concert with my daughter and her friend and let me tell you what – it is the best concert I have ever been to in my life. Those boys know how to put on a good show! I didn’t know much of their story prior to that night actually, and it really fascinated me. Then I hear they are working on a movie to tell the story of their family and I knew I wanted to watch it. You’re hearing it from me first – go see this movie. It’s well worth your time and money.

About the Movie

Unsung Hero Movie ReviewUnsung Hero

When David Smallbone's successful music company collapses, he moves his family from Australia to the United States in search of a brighter future. With nothing more than their six children, their suitcases, and their love of music, David (for KING + COUNTRY's Joel Smallbone) and his pregnant wife Helen (Daisy Betts) set out to rebuild their lives from the ground up. Based on a remarkable true story, a mum's
faith stands against all odds; and inspires her husband and children to hold onto theirs.

My Perspective

What an amazing story that will inspire, lift spirits, encourage, and speak straight to hearts. Not only did all the actors do an amazing job at portraying their characters, sharing emotions, and making every moment seem so real, they also managed to show how God can take something negative in our lives and turn it into something absoultely beautiful. This is a story that will stay with me for a long time, and a movie i can see myself watching repeatedly. I appreciate the Smallbone’s sharing their journey with us, even though it was hard and humbling at times. Highly recommend to families everywhere!

For King and Country is one of my favorite groups and the movie sounds like one I would like to see.

I believe that I would like to see it. It is nice to see more Christian movies being released these days. Karen Kingsbury actually released one a few weeks ago and is supposed to be in theaters much longer than it was expected to.

  4. This is actually the first time I’ve heard of the movie! It sounds like one I would enjoy. I live in a small town, so these type of movies don’t usually make it into our theater.

I don’t know if I’ll be able to see it, but the Smallbone’s story sounds fascinating!
