Hello everyone! Happy First Week of School (at least in central NY). My daughter started 10th grade this year. 10th Grade!!! This mama is a little sad about that. Every year I struggle with the first day of school because I realize she is getting older and time is slipping by faster then I want it to! She turns 15 next month, which means in a year she’ll be driving. And in three years graduating high school.
Okay, I can’t talk about that anymore……
How was your week? I’ve been trying to catch up on typing my reviews, but it’s been slow going. Between work and going to the gym, I’ve been wiped out at night. But, this too shall pass. I will get there just take it easy on me! Okay so I am excited to be bringing today’s FLF book. I’ve seen it everywhere since it’s release date and have been dying to read it. I hear it’s a good one 🙂

Short and sweet. Although I could probably substitute my daughter’s name in there. She’s always wanted a sibling claiming that being an only child is rough. I get it. For most of my youth I was an only child. But there are perks too!

When my daughter (now 17) was a baby, she said she wanted a brother and a sister, in that order. But she changed her mind after her brother arrived and decided one sibling was quite enough!
I love the cover of this book, and it’s certainly an intriguing first line. Mine is equally intriguing. It’s from Unblemished by Sara Ella, which is a bit different to what I usually read.
This is all my fault.
She’ll lose her soul because of me.
Okay, so that’s two lines, and now I want to keep reading.
Time does go by more quickly that we would like. I’ve never read anything by Tamera Alexander but I’ve heard good things about her writing. My first line is “No way. Not now. Not ever.” from Blown Together by Janet W. Ferguson.

I’m featuring Nicole Deese’s new book, “A New Shade of Summer” on my blog this week, but I’ve FINALLY managed to get around to reading Susan May Warren’s “A Matter of Trust”, and I almost didn’t even want to put it down to do the First Line Friday rounds! But I’ve forced myself to share the first line:
“Gage Watson blamed the trouble on the bright, sunny day.”
My first line is going to be the first paragraph because It is short! It’s from These Healing Hills by Ann Gabhart. And her writing has captured me again!
Francine Howard stepped off the bus into another world. She should have been prepared. She’d studied the Frontier Nursing information until she almost knew it by heart. That should have given her a glimpse into this place.
There are sooo many good quotes to glean from this book and I’m only on page 53!
Tammy Alexander is hands down in my top 15 favorite authors. She does such wonderful research! Great books!

I loved this book. My first line on my blog is from Colleen Coble. But I grabbed a book beside me for here.
“He’d found her.” by The Texan’s Courtship Lessons by Noelle Marchand. My mom gave this book to me and I haven’t read it yet.
Just finished Will not See by Chautona Havig, am about to read my next book from Celebratelit, not sure what it is yet. Still thinking about that one!
