His Encouragement

Happy Thursday my friends! Welcome to another dose of His Encouragement where my blogger friends and I try to give you a little boost in the middle of your week.

This week I want to ask you a question.

Have you ever felt unloved?

I know I have, many times in fact. I was recently asked to write a devotional and I couldn’t think of what to write. Then God whispered in my ear, “Write about my love for you.” To be honest, it couldn’t have come at a better time. I reflected back to some recent times where I just felt totally unloved and unworthy, and realized something very important.

God’s love is the only love that truly matters. God’s love is the only love that will be there for me 100% of the time. God’s love is eternal. God’s love is sacrificial, more so then any one else in this world.

1 John 4:10 says, Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

God’s love has no limits. To be honest – it doesn’t even require us to love Him back, because He loved us before we even knew Him. God sent his son to die for us. That is amazing! God will continue to love us, even when we make mistakes.

Friends, I don’t want you to ever feel unloved. It is a lie of Satan and something that you should immediately get out of your mind. When your world seems to be falling apart, please remember that God loves you. If you fight with your spouse and feel like no one loves you, remember that God does. If you feel like you have no friends, a love interest, a spouse, family, whatever, please remember that God loves YOU. His love can fill your heart and bring you peace.

What’s been on your heart this week friends? I hope you’ll share in the comments, and please don’t forget to visit my friends and see what they’re sharing this week!

  1. God’s love is the only love that truly matters. Truer words have never been spoken!
Thank you for your post today. It is one I needed to read today. My soul’s felt a little down lately.

Happy Mother’s Day (early, I know)!

  2. We love because He first loved us! We only understand such a small bit of what the fullness of God’s Love really is. How high, how wide, how deep God’s love is!
Thank you, for sharing this verse today!
