His Encouragement – Dismayed

This is been a week my friends. I’ve been saying that to myself a LOT lately. It seems like things are just in an uproar, work is stressful, finances are stressful, and I’m about at my wits end. So much in fact, I was debating whether or not to write a post today. I didn’t have a verse on my heart. I have still been reading my bible everyday, but I can’t honestly say that I’ve been soaking it in. Know what I mean?

So, I resorted to google. Yep – shame on me, but sometimes even God can speak through google. I simply typed in verses of encouragement. I didn’t too far down the list until a verse jumped out at me.

“And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.” Deuteronomy 31:8

Do you see the very last words in this verse? It tells us not to be dismayed. Well dismayed is basically how I’ve been feeling lately, among some other things. And that is just my fleshly nature. Been on theme here lately. You know what I was reminded of at church last night? When we are trying to follow God’s Will, and grow in our relationship with Him, the devil attacks, fiercely. And I’ve been feeling it lately. Maybe you have too. But don’t let the enemy get under your skin. Just rely on the God who loves you, who is there for you, and who promises to never fail you.
