If you are looking for an Amish story that is different from anything you’ve ever read, look no further, this story is for you! The author had my attention from the beginning, as this Amish family seemed to know who Sarah was and even called her mamm. Then when it turns out that Sarah could potentially have a past life she couldn’t remember I was completely shocked! In fact, I read the book in one sitting because I needed to know where this storyline was headed.
I appreciated how the characters tried to keep God at the center of their decision making process. I was, however, a little frustrated with Sarah’s current husband. I felt he made his decision a little too quickly and easily. I understood this was needed for the future of the story, but thought it could have played out a little bit.
Overall this was a fast paced read for me. It was something different then any Amish book I’ve read in the past which was great. I’m always looking for out of the ordinary stories! And this story got me thinking about how I would handle the situation, and I love when stories speak to me like that.
