MY PERSPECTIVE
I think it’s important for young people to learn that value of loving yourself. Of course there is a fine line of going too far, and Hall does a great job of making sure to stay on point. The bible tells us that we are to love our spouses as ourselves, so why not learn that value at an early age? In today’s world it’s so hard not to compare yourself to others. To think you’re not good enough. To want to be someone else.
God wants us to be ourselves and shine, which is exactly what this devotional is for. Week after week young girls will learn things about themselves, and the person that God wants them to be. I think this would be a fantastic book to have as a teen bible study at church, or part of a youth group. Even adults can benefit from this if we’re being honest. The layout is great, easy to understand, and easy to follow along.
I highly recommend this devotional. I know I’ll be getting my daughter a copy! I received a complimentary copy of this book. I was not required to write a favorable review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
