Revenge is sweet…unless you are on the receiving end of it.

“Do you know of anyone who would want…you dead?”

Officer Daniel Jenkins was no stranger to the dangers his job posed but usually he knew who was trying to kill him. Being stalked was a completely different ball game, and he wasn’t sure there were any rules…

“…I need you.”

Terrified didn’t even begin to describe how Kami felt with the stalker targeting her. As an FBI agent you were trained to handle stressful situations, but being the victim put the whole process in a different light.

As the killer gets closer, so do Kami and Daniel, but will they live long enough to see their love bloom?

Only God can save them from this unknown killer…

My Perspective

After having read the first two books in this series, I had to read book three and see how the author’s writing progressed. I did see some steps forward compared to book one and two, and enough where I would continue to give this author a try if a new series came out. I actually love seeing how an author’s writing style progresses as they release different books. They become more confident, more mature, and more in tune with what works and what doesn’t.

I will note that there are a lot of characters and moving parts to this story. If you haven’t read the previous novels, you probably will be lost. I don’t mind a lot of characters in a story, but I felt this time I couldn’t connect with them. We didn’t get to the heart and growth potential to the characters, and that is something I want to see especially in a series. The plot was interesting and I did find it easy to follow along. I think the author has come quite far from the first book I read, and I hope to see that trend continue with books in the future.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. I was not required to write a favorable review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
